I’ve always dreamed about making a webseries. Well, that’s a lie. I’ve not always dreamed of it. But more and more it seems like a fun thing for me to do. Do I know what it’d be about? No.
A Million Thoughts in Four Hundred Words

I’ve always loved sketch comedy. Now, that’s not a lie. Horrible Histories, Monty Python and You’re Skitting Me, which is a kids’ ABC show that I totally forgot existed until literally just typing that out. Oh my goodness. That just unlocked so many memories for me.
Recurring characters. That’s why I want to do a webseries. I want to do a webseries where I play a lot of the characters. Not necessarily modern-day YouTube skit style, where people play all the characters and interact with themselves. I think it’s got to be I create some characters with other people that have good dynamics so we can work together in a more traditional filming style, rather than having to work out eyelines and positions for me to do the same scene multiple times as different characters.
I think this is what the three shows I mentioned above did. Perhaps I just want to emulate them. But, honestly? I don’t have any ideas at the moment.
I’ve never known where my ideas come from. Sometimes I get a rush of inspiration and madly start writing things down, or sometimes I (rather benignly) look at something and say (in a very monotonous voice), “Huh. That would be funny.” And then I make something out of it.
I’ve not done the calculations to determine which type of inspiration and idea-having is more efficient or produces better results. Who knows, at this point? Who cares? Ideas are ideas.
Buuuuut…having the ability to refine my idea-having process is exactly the sort of thing that I would try and do to make myself more efficient. God, what a brain I have. It never wants to take a break.
Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing. It’s certainly not something I’m boasting about, though. It means my brain often gets very tired when I’m in the middle of trying to work actively on something, because it’s constantly remembering things like how my friend’s brother went to a particular high school that was just mentioned, and the only reason I know that is because they told me over a Zoom meeting three years ago. My brain is weird, man. Weird.
