After over a month of work on my website, involving creating the whole thing on Wix, being frustrated about how much Wix costs and then painstakingly recreating the entire website in WordPress….it’s finally launching. At long last. Well, at a relatively short last. It was only a month.

  I’m not going to bother being too clever today. At the time of writing, it’s about 3:00PM, and I want to have the whole website ready to launch at 5:00PM, so I’ve got to get this out quick smart.

  So what is my blog going to be about? That’s a good question, and one I’m not really able to answer. I’ve got the tagline of “Pretentious Musings” in my head at the moment, but that may very well change as I write more frequently. I don’t know what else I could write about. Life experiences? I haven’t had enough of those to impart any words of wisdom. Funny things that happened to me during the week? I’m sure that putting such things into words would taint the funniness and they wouldn’t be funny anymore. Also, what would I do if I had a week where funny things didn’t happen? Write about how funny it is that nothing funny happened? Surely that’s only a topic that could be used once.

  Perhaps I could complain. I do love complaining and I went through a whole phase where I would complain about almost everything. But then I thought, “Hey. This is probably really bringing the mood down whenever I talk. I should probably show off my British heritage another way.” And so I stopped complaining.

  I hope that a reader, who is reading this piece designed to be read, can read this piece and agree to go on a journey with me in discovering what on Earth this blog should be about. Or, if one day I relocate to another planet, what on Mars this blog should be about.

  Also, I am going to have a word limit on these. Otherwise I would be constantly striving for an impossible goal. So the limit will be four hundred-ish words, not including the title.
